They met while working in biomedical research at UCLA and graduated together, in the same class, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Michigan. Their oldest daughter, Jacqueline, was born on the day they graduated from dental school. When they are not working they enjoy cooking, gardening, biking, watching classic films and most importantly playing with their two daughters, Jacqueline and Junalisa.
Caring for the Person Behind the Smile
Dr. Joseph and Dr. Julie make it a priority to treat each patient as an individual with unique needs and expectations. They begin each new patient appointment by listening to and understanding the concerns of their patients. They believe in a non-judgemental and compassionate approach to patient care. Providing high quality dentistry for every patient is their highest priority. To achieve this goal they have gained experience using the most modern dental techniques and materials available for your dental care. They offer a wide range of services in general dentistry including periodontal treatment, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, crown and bridge, pediatric dentistry, tooth removal, dentures, and bleaching. They are respectful of your time and try to see all patients at their scheduled appointment time. In addition, the doctors and staff at All Coast Dental treat each patient with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Pre-Dental Experience
Dr. Julie earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Science from the California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo in 1997. Her undergraduate training has provided Dr. Julie with a unique ability to focus on preventative dentistry and the interaction between nutrition and dental and systemic health. This has lead to her passion for helping patients prevent the two major causes of tooth loss in the United States which are gum disease and dental decay. She wishes to remind all of her patients that the mouth is the gateway to the body and that gum disease and dental decay have a profound affect on our systemic health.
Dr. Joseph Boulos, who was raised in Southern California and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of California
Santa Barbara, then spent 7 years immersed in medical research. He began his career at UCLA Medical’s Endocrinology Department, where he played an integral role in the “Lifestyle Studies” team focused on studying Diabetes and Metabolism. His proficiency in animal stereotaxic brain surgery led to his recruitment for further research on regenerative Adult neural stem cells at Cedar Sinai Medical.
However, after his successful research career, Dr. Joseph made a pivotal decision to transition into the field of dentistry. He pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. Demonstrating unwavering dedication to providing exceptional dental care and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field, he dedicated countless hours to continuing education and advanced training in
surgical implant placement, restoration, and endodontics since becoming a dentist.
With an impressive track record, Dr. Joseph has personally placed and restored over 500 dental implants, including overseeing the completion of
prosthetic phases for more than 1000 implants.
Driven by a sincere desire to create an atmosphere where patients feel respected, heard, and understood in their needs and desires, Dr. Joseph
recognizes the significance of gaining patients’ trust in helping them achieve their oral health goals. Throughout his 15-year career, he has
developed a profound appreciation for the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, both with his staff and the patients he serves.
For Dr. Joseph, dentistry is more than just a job—it is his passion.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Joseph finds joy in spending time with his children, coaching girls’ youth soccer, and pursuing personal
interests such as running, snorkeling, and gardening.
